JoJo

JoJo is an extremely sweet and affectionate mini-Australian Labradoodle and absolutely LOVES both people and dogs. She learns quickly and is highly motivated by treats. She is not a picky eater! When she is full-grown, JoJo will be approximately 25lbs - an easy size to take just about anywhere. JoJo is excellent with other dogs. She loves playing and can keep up with bigger dogs, but is typically more submissive when things start getting a little rough. Although JoJo loves to play and needs daily exercise, she has an off-switch and can settle down nicely when it’s time to relax. JoJo can also tell time...you never have to worry about forgetting to feed her. She will let you know!

JoJo’s Training Progress (updated 11/29/21 @ 12 ½ weeks old): JoJo is fully crate trained and sleeps 8-9 hours at night without accidents. She can also be crated for 3-4 hours during the day before needing to go outside. She can hold a Sitstay and Downstay for 30 seconds for a treat and is even learning a Standstay (for grooming purposes). Her favorite activity is our “Come Game.” She also will go to her dog bed with the “Place” command and remain there for several minutes as long as you occasionally reward her with a treat. And, she also runs to her kennel on command anytime you ask!

What’s next for JoJo? Learning to ring the “bells” when she wants to go outside so that she can be fully house-trained. Leash walking will also feature prominently in her program. We will also begin introducing distractions to all of her training activities this month.

In general, we are extremely pleased with JoJo’s progress and are excited about what a lovely companion she is becoming!
